'Seven dead' in Turkey bomb blast

Seven people are believed to have been killed in a bomb explosion near a police station in Turkey.

TV footage showed firefighters attempting to douse a fierce blaze that gutted several vehicles in Gaziantep, near the Syrian border in the south east of the country.

Fighting between Turkish security forces and Kurdish rebels, who seek autonomy in Turkey's predominantly Kurdish south east, has increased in recent weeks.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
