Baby girl back with her mother a year after Mexico City doctors allegedly sold her
A baby girl is back with her mother a year after the Mexico City doctors who delivered her allegedly sold her to another woman.
Authorities on Thurday handed the one-year-old to Vanessa Castillo after tests proved she was the child's mother.
The case led to the arrest on Wednesday of three doctors, a nurse and a receptionist at a hospital in a poor neighbourhood of the capital.
Doctors had refused to let Ms Castillo see the baby, born in October 2008. They first told her the infant had been taken to another hospital, and later that she had died and been cremated.
Ms Castillo learned the truth in an e-mail sent by a man believed to be the son of the hospital's director.
Prosecutors are investigating whether other newborns were stolen at the hospital.
in all hospitals throughout the world this type of thing goes on ,especially where there is a huge divide between rich and poor married or unwed mothers . money speaks louder then words especially where doctors and nurses are in charge as the mothers are at their most vunerablest and quite a few would be too exhausted to notice a swap or a baby born alive and only to be told it was born dead . dont ever let the smiling bedside manner fool you ,after all money is everyones goal in life but to some it,s the greed that goes with it and to hell with the consaquences they are still human . the nuns got away with it for years so be warned and alert .it does go on only there not caught yet .how many tycoons have heirs that arent really theirs ?only the wealthy can answer that.as i said money can buy anything even a family so beware be very aware.my old nan had all her children at home because in the 30s and 40s some hospital blunders around the world gave babies to the wrong mums.
I had 2 at home but not for the same reason!
Thank God somebody was brave and humane enough to bubble the evil lot.
It's digusting the anguish those poeple has caused to that poor mother.
Just make's you wonder how many other mother's have had their babies stolen from them.
These people have no morals all they want is the money they should get very large prison terms and all property and monies taken by the court and given to the mother's as compensation.
Poor baby girl - at 1 she will have bonded with the woman she knows as mummy. I have a 1yr old and he knows us all so well, she must be so confused poor baby.
