At least 30 children have been injured, some of them seriously, when the bus they were travelling in overturned on a major road in southern Germany.
A Bavarian police spokesman said the driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle during a sudden hailstorm near the town of Freising.
Ulrich Poepsel said police sent "anything with a siren" to the site of the crash, including several helicopters which ferried the injured children to nearby hospitals.
He said the bus was registered in the German town of Dachau and was taking children home from a holiday trip.
He added that the overturned bus caused a second collision involving several vehicles for which casualty figures were still unclear.
