One Direction finished third on the 2010 series of The X Factor
Pop heart-throbs One Direction are reportedly cashing in on their success in the US by signing a big money deal with Pepsi.
The boy band, who have enjoyed massive success in the States since being put together on The X Factor, will promote the soft drink in a new advert with several American football stars.
The Sun reported they filmed the advert in a New Orleans studio last week.
They follow in the footsteps of other big names including Michael Jackson, Madonna and David Beckham who have all appeared in adverts for the drink in the past.
The boy band - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - embarked on a promotional tour to conquer the US and earlier this year became the first UK pop group to debut at number one on the US album chart when Up All Night rocketed into the top spot on the Billboard chart.
More than 10,000 fans are estimated to have turned up to see the teen stars' first live TV performance in the US when they appeared on NBC's Today Show in Rockefeller Plaza, New York. They were also mobbed at album signings during their jaunt round the US.
The group sold 176,000 copies of the album in the US in the space of a week and it topped the digital charts within minutes of its release.
One Direction have already found huge fame among teenage fans in the UK after starring in the 2010 X Factor series and finishing third.
Up All Night went straight to number one at home and in 12 other countries with global sales of more than 4.2 million.
