Geri Halliwell is to return as a guest judge for the X Factor when auditions begin on Wednesday.
The former Spice Girl will attend the Liverpool heat as show bosses line up guest panellists to take the place of the vacant fourth judge spot.
Series supremo Simon Cowell has still to appoint a successor to Kelly Rowland who will not be taking part in this year's show.
Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos are already lined up to come back for this year's series, but efforts to bring back Dannii Minogue faltered last week.
Now Halliwell will reprise her guest role on the judging panel.
She previously stepped in during the 2010 series and prior to that she was a judge on the ITV1 series Popstars: The Rivals - the show which created Girls Aloud.
An X Factor spokewoman confirmed Halliwell would be taking part in the Liverpool audition this week.
