The future looks bleak for the UK unless its population can buck many of its current social trends. Society is growing older, fatter and people are becoming increasingly lonely, according to the latest research from the newly independent Office for National Statistics.  MSN UK News takes a look at the Social Trends study for an insight into how we’ve been living in the recent past and what the future might hold for Britain.
