Top Totty banned from Commons bar

A beer called Top Totty has been removed from sale at a Parliamentary bar

A beer called Top Totty has been banned from a Parliamentary bar because its pump plate featuring a half-naked lady offended women.

Shadow equalities minister Kate Green was left "disturbed" after seeing the 4% ale's advertising in a popular Westminster watering hole and demanded bar staff remove it from sale.

Within 90 minutes House authorities ordered the beer to be withdrawn after Commons' Leader Sir George Young told MPs: "Action will be taken." A barman told the Press Association: "I can confirm it was withdrawn from sale at 1.30pm."

Unbelievable!!!!!

Would you invest or Deal with a company with employees so corrupt as this ?????

I bet this will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Can you imagine working for or dealing with a company or organisation that has just over 635 employees, but has the following employee statistics..

* 29 have been accused of spouse abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 9 have been accused of writing bad cheques
* 17 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at
least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
*
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
*21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
*84 have been arrested for drink driving in the
last year

AND

collectively, this year alone, they have cost the British tax payer £92,993,748 in expenses!!!
Which organisation is this?

It's the House of Commons, with 635 members.

The same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

What a bunch of b
***** ds we have running our country

- it says it all...

And just to top all that they probably have the best 'corporate' pension scheme in the country!!

Typical political man hating female with no sense if humour

Get a sense of Humour

In her defence, Kate Green saw the shield and realised she is not Top Totty and that is why she is disturbed....probably some ugly, fat, old bag.

Like Churchill said when a female accused him of being drunk, "You madam are ugly but in the morning, I will be sober!"

OK it offends some women; but MP's weren't bother about offending smokers when the smoking ban was bought in and they were allowed to continue smoking in the Houses of Parliament. How about the non smoking MP's complaining about that and see how long it takes for smoking to be banned.

It wouldn't matter if it was called Top Titties, this is about being able to call a product what you want without the ''OK Yar'', PC brigade jumping on it. If the beer is any good, it certainly won't need , what is really, unwanted publicity from a humourless MP

If it was a decent ale it wouldn't need a name such as that to give it publicity

She's just jealous it was getting pumped more often than her, that's all.

I'm not even that much concerned that they had time to debate the picture that has upset a few PC lezbo's in westminster......

AM more concerned that whilst I have been banned from drinking at work because of supposed health & safety issues for as long as I can remember 1986. Not only not allowed to drink in the workplace, but not even allowed to drink in the pub at lunch or it is classed as gross misconduct and can be an instant dismissal from work! ... How the hell are they not only putting themselves on a much higher footing than us and not only drinking in the workplace, but having it subsidised by the taxpayer and no doubt actually claiming it on expenses!

You will also note the irony of the smoking at work ban, not only not being allowed to smoke in the workplace, on work premises or even in a works vehicle without it being classed as a criminal offence! ... But these despicable, disgusting, scabby, thieving, lying, two-faced, doubled standard cretins actually can smoke in parliament in the work place and have room set aside for it.

Now can you see how they treat us mere commoners with utter distain and contempt?

And Labour wonder why they lost the election!

"Within 90 minutes the beer was withdrawn"

The beer was withdrawn at 1.30pm, that places her in the bar at 12.00 midday!

Nice work when you can get it !

Thanks Kate Green for keeping your eye on the pulse of the nation !  I'll sleep well tonight !

Barman, a pint of of Top Totty over here please!

AMAZING. Almost 100% condemnation on this article. It should be made compulsory viewing for all MP's. Maybe then they'd focus on the important issues, instead of intruding on our lives with trivia. Well done MSN readers, for restoring my faith in the Great British public, to stand together against intolerance Thumbs up

Nice to know there are such pathetic, humourless sados like Kate(I need to get out more) Green running our country

What a sad pathetic nation we have become. the people who get worked up & deadly serious about such a trivial matter are an absolute joke. Maybe if Ms Green & her ilk did more to resolve the REAL issues that are destroying our way of life rather than waste time on this, we would all be better off. In fact, maybe they should ban ALL booze from the Houses of Parliament so the poor MP's can stay awake during debates.

On view for all MP's to see - at least for the first half hour. After that they're all blotto on their subsidised--by-the-taxpayer beer. You can tell by their behaviour in Parliament and the decisions they make.
Jut goes to show they really CAN'T organise the proverbial!

Just like this bunch of overpaid layabouts! Cheap food cheap beer and shorts.......who pays for the subsidies? US of course! Shocking!

Oh what fantastic publicity for the brewers.

Many of use had never heard of this beer before.  Do hope Houses of Parliament didnt have exclusive rights!

Have a Bitter lemon on me Ms Green?

So our M.P.s have nothing better to do than drink free beer and complain.Angry
