Bicycle orders have risen during the Olympics

Orders for bikes, skateboards, in-line skates and scooters by Londoners have soared over the past fortnight as residents apparently seek alternative forms of transport, according to a retailer.

Amazon.co.uk said sales of skateboards were 167% higher in London than this time last year, with rollerblades 140% higher and scooters 36% higher.

Electric bikes have seen a 100% increase and mountain bikes sales are 42% higher.
