A man has been charged with theft from an Australian Olympic athlete.
Items belonging to sprinter Andrew McCabe, including his national kit, were taken while he trained at Tonbridge School in London Road, Tonbridge, Kent, last Friday.
The 21-year-old, from Queensland, had left his bag which contained other items, including a mobile phone, on a bench beside the running track.
His running spikes were initially reported as stolen but they later turned up in another of his bags.
Kent Police said Daniel Turowski, 28, of Alexandra Road, Tonbridge, has been charged with theft.
He has been released on police bail and will make his first appearance at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on September 11.
A 27-year-old woman who was also detained on suspicion of theft by police investigating the case has been freed without charge, said a spokesman.
