Orders for bikes, skateboards, in-line skates and scooters by Londoners have soared over the past fortnight as residents apparently seek alternative forms of transport, according to a retailer.
Amazon.co.uk said sales of skateboards were 167% higher in London than this time last year, with rollerblades 140% higher and scooters 36% higher.
Electric bikes have seen a 100% increase and mountain bikes sales are 42% higher.
The website's sports and outdoors manager Julian Monaghan said: "It appears that Londoners are looking for creative and active ways to get around the capital during this busy few weeks.
"It's a great time to try alternative ways of travelling to work or out in the city and perhaps many who give it a go at this point will continue to enjoy it long after the summer of sport."
