Jose Mourinho says he is going to wait for the phone to ring with job offers after sealing a massive compensation package with Chelsea.
The 44-year-old Portuguese is thought to be walking away from Stamford Bridge with a reported £20 million pay-off for the last three years of his contract. The breakdown in Mourinho's relationship with billionaire owner Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea hierarchy ultimately saw the curtain fall on his three-year reign of which he is very proud.
The self-style 'Special One' said after parting company with the Blues 'by mutual consent' : "I am very proud of my work in Chelsea Football Club and I think my decision in May 2004 to come to England was an excellent one. It was a beautiful and rich period of my career. I want to thank all Chelsea FC supporters for what I believe is a never-ending love story. I wish great success to the club, a club that will be forever connected to me for some historical moments."
