Samantha Brick strikes back!

The Brick is back! Our blog yesterday picked up on the furore surrounding a female journalist's assertion in the Daily Mail online that she got loads of hassle in life because, like, she was so pretty and everything.

'There are downsides to looking this pretty, Ms Brick magnanimously asserted. 'Other women hate me for no reason other than my lovely looks'.

Unsurprisingly the internet went into something close to meltdown over the article, as 'Samantha Brick' trended for hours on end and the Daily Mail racked up some 1.5 million hits on the one article alone online.

And now she's back in a follow-up article, staggering asserting that the bile she prompted online just proves her original point right.

She describes her tears as the response to the article snowballed out of control yesterday, and ends: 'Yes, I'm a good-looking woman — albeit one that has feelings, too'.

Over 24 hours after the original piece, Samantha Brick is still trending on Twitter - here are some of the (more printable) comments...
