To mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Captain Robert Scott I travelled to the Polar Museum at the Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge.
MSN talks to Ben Saunders of the Scott 2012 expedition
The expedition sees him cover the 1,800 mile round-trip that Scott just failed to complete in 1912. Incredibly this expedition has never been completed; recent South Pole expeditions start and finish much closer to the Pole.
I met Ben at the Polar Museum, so that we could compare his mission with that of Scott's. The staff at the museum were brilliant and particular thanks go to Heather and Willow, who showed us round and allowed us to handle some of the kit used by Scott's team 100 years ago.
Take a look at our extended video to find out more about Ben's expedition and see him enjoying himself with some of Scott's kit.
