Heston Blumenthal's new London restaurant Dinner is ninth on the world's best restaurant rankings
Heston Blumenthal's Michelin starred restaurant, The Fat Duck has dropped out of the top 10 on the world's best restaurants list.
In 2005 the restaurant in Bray, Berks, one of the only restaurants in the UK to have three Michelin stars, was crowned the world's best but it has now slipped to 13th place.
Despite the drop in the Fat Duck's ranking, Mr Blumenthal's new London restaurant, Dinner, was the highest placed UK restaurant in the list at number nine.
It also won the award for the highest new entry.
The rankings were announced in London as part of the World's 50 Best Restaurants survey by Restaurant Magazine.
The Ledbury, in London was the other UK restaurant in the 50 best restaurants list. It climbed 20 places to number 14, taking the Highest Climber award.
The world's best restaurant was Danish establishment Noma in Copenhagen which maintained its position at the top spot of the list for the third consecutive year.
The Chefs' Choice award, voted for by the World's 50 Best chefs, was presented to Andoni Luis Aduriz of Mugaritz restaurant in San Sebastian, Spain. Devastated by a fire two years ago, the restaurant held on to third place.
